We are a young and growing non-profit organisation with a shared passion for animal health and global solidarity. Our team consists of two coordinators and a committed board. What connects us? We are all veterinarians with a heart for both people and animals. By applying our expertise, we aim to support and strengthen communities in the Global South.
In addition to her role at VSF-NL, Simone is a veterinarian specialised in One Health. During her studies, she conducted research on rabies in Rwanda. Marlijn is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animals and the environment worldwide. She brings valuable experience from her work with international NGOs focused on animal welfare and nature conservation, including stray animal projects abroad. With her enthusiasm and strong coordination skills, Marlijn plays a crucial role in advancing our mission.
Eveline is an experienced veterinarian in wildlife, companion animals, and livestock. She obtained her master’s degree in Veterinary Wildlife Medicine in London and has extensive experience across various veterinary fields. With her sharp insight and broad network within the veterinary sector, Eveline is a valuable member of our board, where she uses her knowledge and experience to strengthen the organisation’s mission.
Sarah is co-founder of Veterinarians Without Borders Netherlands and has been deeply involved as a coordinator for many years. She now serves as treasurer and remains an important source of knowledge and experience within our team. Alongside her work for our organisation, she works in a veterinary practice specialising in dentistry. Next year, Sarah will open her own clinic in Amsterdam.
Janke lived in Malawi for several years and knows the country well, making her a valuable member of our board. She is also a veterinarian and works with livestock in the Netherlands. In addition, she regularly visits farms around the world to share her knowledge and contribute to improving animal health globally.
