Healthy animals, healthy people, healthy planet!

Millions of people in Africa depend on their livestock. Vétérinaires Sans Frontières-Netherlands (VSF-NL) works together with African farmers to keep their animals healthy. This helps these farmers to build better lives themselves.

What we do in Malawi

In Malawi, we train Community Animal Health Workers (CAHWs). They help farmers keep their herds healthy. Animals, training, equipment and animal health care enable them to produce enough food for themselves and for the market.

What we do in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands, we raise awareness about sustainable livestock and food production. We lobby for decision-making in favor of small-scale farmers in Africa. We involve veterinarians and veterinary students.
