Internships & Volunteer Work

We believe it’s important for you to be able to dedicate yourself to an organization you fully support, and we’re happy to help you find such an organization for volunteer work and internships! Read below to find out what internships and volunteer opportunities are available for students, veterinarians, and others who are interested.

Are you unsure about an internship? Or are you just curious about where other students have gone? Read more about the experiences of other veterinary students or volunteers who have worked with nonprofit organizations! 

If you have any questions regarding these experiences, please don't hesitate to contact us mailtje ! That way, we can put you in touch with people who have already visited a specific organization.

Looking for something yourself?

You can also look for veterinary internships and volunteer placements yourself. Bear in mind, however, that there are some unscrupulous organisations out there, particularly if you want to work with wild or exotic animals.

We have done our best to approach organisations which, in our view, prioritise animal welfare above all else. This means that the animals are not taken for walks, physical contact is kept to a minimum, and a small financial contribution is required.
