Within DZG-Student, we have various committees through which we work to organize activities, campaigns, and projects. Below, we’d like to tell you more about these committees!
The Education Committee focuses primarily on designing lessons for elementary schools, with the goal of educating young people about topics such as One Health. In this committee, you’ll mainly reach out to schools, design teaching materials, and have the opportunity to teach these lessons yourself at these schools! The Education Committee is still in its early stages of development. So this is your chance to get involved and contribute new ideas for the committee! This committee meets once a month.
The Project Committee is responsible for maintaining contact with all of DZG’s projects. As a committee member, you’ll also have the opportunity to reach out to our projects abroad and do your part! The committee meets once every two weeks.
This committee organizes the annual running event, Run4Rabies, thereby contributing to the Rabies Vaccination Project of Veterinarians Without Borders – Netherlands. They wrap up the sporting event with drinks and a raffle. In short, there’s something for everyone to put their creativity to use as a committee member! In 2022, they raised 880 euros, which will be used to vaccinate 500 dogs. The committee meets about once every two weeks, but things will be a bit busier around the time of the Run. Want to join?
