The Edgard & Cooper Foundation is the charitable arm of the pet food company Edgard & Cooper. The foundation is dedicated to improving animal welfare worldwide and supports initiatives that enhance the quality of life of animals, with a particular focus on dogs and cats. Thanks to the support of the Edgard & Cooper Foundation, we are able to carry out many activities within our rabies project in Malawi, Africa.

Through their generous contribution, they make our Herds for Empowerment project possible, enabling us to support women in livestock farming and strengthen their economic independence. 

Veterinarians Without Borders Belgium supports livestock keepers in nine African countries. They vaccinate and treat herds and help families improve their livestock production. They supported the establishment of Veterinarians Without Borders Netherlands in 2018 and have since provided technical advice on project management, communication, and fundraising. In addition, they have offered financial support to enable our growth and stability.

Vétérinaires Sans Frontières International (VSF-I) is an international network of non-profit organisations working globally in agriculture, livestock, and animal welfare to support smallholder farmers. Veterinarians Without Borders Netherlands is a member of this network. By joining forces, we achieve greater impact.

St. Anna Advies provides practical communication advice and training for the veterinary and agricultural sectors. Their focus is on healthy animals, happy people, and well-functioning organisations. St. Anna Advies donates €2,000 annually to our organisation and supports us with communication advice to improve our campaigns.

Center for Community Empowerment Initiatives (CCEI) is a non-profit organisation based in Malawi. Its mission is to increase access to affordable, life-changing technologies for communities in need, particularly in agriculture, livestock, animal welfare, and rabies control. CCEI is our implementing partner in Malawi, and our programme manager, Gilbert Banda, is employed by this organisation.

wilde ganzen

Wilde Ganzen supports changemakers worldwide who take action to improve their communities. They provide both financial support and expertise to our projects. When a project is approved, they fund one-third of the total budget. We report back to Wilde Ganzen, which also serves as a mark of quality for other donors.

The Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC) is a non-profit organisation with the goal of eliminating rabies by 2030. They work towards this by promoting mass dog vaccination in affected regions such as Africa. GARC provides technical support for our rabies project in Malawi, where we aim to vaccinate 22,000 dogs. We also use their app to register and monitor vaccinations.

Covetrus is a veterinary wholesaler. Through Covetrus, we are able to include campaign flyers free of charge in packages sent to veterinary clinics across the Netherlands. This helps us engage more clinics in our Vaccinate for Africa campaign. 

Medsocks designs cheerful and meaningful socks with a medical theme. They created unique veterinary-themed socks especially for Veterinarians Without Borders Netherlands. For every pair sold, Medsocks donates 10% of the proceeds to our organisation, directly contributing to our mission.
